El Encinar de Humienta has a self-control system for exports to guarantee its customers the correct procedure and traceability control, mandatory to exporting to foreign countries.

We are certified with level 2, in both plants, Almaraz and Madrid.

 

COMMITMENT TO THE ENVIRONMENT

El Encinar de Humienta keeps a high level of commitment to the environment, being a cornerstone in the policy of the company, together with the Quality and Food Safety Department.

The goal is to contribute to a sustainable growth, minimizing the environmental impact. To do so, El Encinar de Humienta carries out several environmental management practices, training all workers for an environmental culture, involvement and awareness.

We have authorized managers for removal, tratment and disposal of the generated waste.

Everything within the Environmental Management System (UNE-EN-ISO 14001:2004).

Our plant also has water treatment facilities for polluting spill removal.

The new rule UNE-EN- ISO- 14001:2015 has been recently published, and El Encinar de Humienta is already working to include that rule to the already implemented Environmental Management System.

 

QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY

Every person working in El Encinar de Humienta, S.A. has the commitment and obligation to contribute to the development of the company.

General Management, with the previous agreement of the different levels in the company, has decided to carry out the implementation of a Food and Environmental Safety System as a development and improvement strategy, to contemplate the quality and environment requirements established in the INTERNATIONAL FOOD STANDARD rules, version 6, and in UNE-EN ISO 14001, which most of our customers require.

Thus, this system has been developed to meet the requirements as well as legal and regulatory requirements that apply in the processes of cattle slaughtering, quartering, cutting and parts packomg, channels and refrigerated rooms, and their distribution.

With its effective implementation, we want to:

QUALITY AND FOOD SAFETY COMMITMENT

Quality and Food Safety are the basic pillars on which the company policy is based. El Encinar de Humienta offers high-quality, certified meat with the maximum food safety, being a distinguishing feature among our customers.

The Encinar de Humienta offers tailored to the needs of every customer, looking to keep a high level of satisfaction.

The implemented Quality and Food Safety System ensures an ongoing monitoring of our products, microbiological and organoleptic analysis and daily parameters measuring (pH, temperature, etc.), register control and a well defined traceability system, tracking from start to end of the chain and being able to identify any deviation and immediately acting against it.

All integrated under the Food Safety System International Food Standard (IFS) Version 6.

El Encinar de Humienta, according to the IFS standard, ensures maximum food safety in their products, minimizing any risk. It also has a security system (Food Defense) to avoid any kind of sabotage that could compromise the security of them.

All products served are free of Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs)

 

EXPORT

On March 1, 2016 RD 993/2014, of 28 November was passed, approving the procedure and requirements of the official veterinary export certification. Starting that date, food companies exporting to foreign countries that have different requirements to those of the European Union, must have the certificate of ASE (Autocontrol Specific System), and the demading level according to the country they want to export to.

El Encinar de Humienta has deployed an Autocontrol system for export, guaranteeing its customers the correct procedure and traceability control, mandatory to export to foreign countries.

We are certified with level 2, in both plants, Almaraz and Madrid.

 

OPTIONAL LABELLING

El Encinar de Humienta has a specification for the optional labelling for the Navalcarne meat brand.

The Navalcarne brand distinguishes beef sold by El Encinar de Humienta and its main feature is meat production from bovine animals which have been fed with vegetal origin food, with vitamins and minerals, at least three months before slaughter.

 

RITUAL RELIGIOUS SLAUGHTER

El Encinar de Humienta, in addition to conventional slaughter, has a box for the ritual religious slaughter.

The plant is licensed by the General Direction of Public Health, part of the Extremadura Health Service of the Junta de Extremadura, to the ritual religious slaighter, encompassing the Halal and Kosher rites

We also have the slaughtering and butchering Halal beef Halal Certificate by the certification entity, Halal Institute.
